Snacking for Solutions Benefit week generates donations!
In cased you missed it, Plant Kingdom pledged to donate 25% of sales revenue to Local Non-profits during "Snacking for Solutions" benefit week Jan 9-14th. We're pleased to report that sales were up (considering it's the dead-of-winter) and that snackers overwhelmingly chose City Fresh as their charity of choice!
City Fresh, and it's Akron arm - Summit Fresh - have made real progress in making affordable access to seasonal/fresh/local produce a reality in areas that need it most. It's also thrilling to find out that CITY FRESH is growing rapidly into Northeast Ohio counties, in part due to a generous federal earmark from Toledo-area Democratic Representative Marcy Kaptur.
Find out if City Fresh has a pick-up location for fresh-local produce near you at www.cityfresh.org. And consider signing up for this non-profit, volunteer-driven service! Like most farmers markets, City Fresh accepts and welcomes the Ohio-direction card!
