A premier nut-buttery treat, Chocolate Covered Goo balls are infamously our "most-mind-blowing" snack, based on feedback from fans. That's saying a lot.
They aren't just chocolate-coated, they’re also rolled in raw shelled hemp seeds & cacao nibs, providing essential substance and texture. Plant Kingdom is prepared to offer them more reliably at the Bakery Depot with Ms Julie's in Akron.
Plant Kingdom is legally barred from contracting with a local farmer to grow Hemp seeds. We serve one of nature's healthiest sources of protein & omega fats, a source that is domestically illegal to produce. This acute instance of discrimination and oppression is remarkably antithetical to human survival in our supposedly free country.
In cased you missed it, Plant Kingdom pledged to donate 25% of sales revenue to Local Non-profits during "Snacking for Solutions" benefit week Jan 9-14th. We're pleased to report that sales were up (considering it's the dead-of-winter) and that snackers overwhelmingly chose City Fresh as their charity of choice!
We love tabling at community events. This means sampling out Hemp seed goodies for ALL. We'll bring FREE SAMPLES of other fantastic plant protein sources too i.e. Tofurky, seitan, & tofu cubes. Know of health events or community happenings where we can make this possible? Please let ajkoosed@gmail.com know! Take advantage of our willingness to share and promote healthy snacking + farming!
Our newest snack formation is radically strengthening hemp super food slabs. Pleasantly sweetened with Organic agave & molasses in almond butter -Hemp Nuts, LifeBasics brand UNSWEETENED Plant Protien, chocolate chips, and cherries are the only other ingredients! No BS these are snacky sources of protien . It crips at first then gets chewey and oily as almond butter and hemp marry.Their good-oils go down easy.
Plant Kingdom is grateful for the University of Akron and their very professional dept of Nutritional Sciences. The nutrition facts panels produced by the dept show that plant kingdom is Super- nutrient dense and protein dense as we've been saying. These panels are based on the 2.1 oz size bar sold at coffee Shops. See this google doc and let the discussion begin!
We love supporting organic farming and saying NO to GMOS! We've always employed an asterisks* to indicate that an ingredient is certified organic. This has worked quite nicely and we have years of receipts and witnesses to verify our organic purchases. We've always been honest with you, for instance, we did away with the asterisks when we could no longer source organic peanut butter and switched to natural (with no trans fats or palm oil)
Today I was honored to speak with a real leader for Industrial Hemp, KY Ag Commissioner James Comer. Having followed recent news of Kentucky's strong push to permit Hemp farming, I wanted to join other Hemp-based enterprises that have committed to purchasing from Kentucky!
Comer gave me an update that this is a bipartisan issue in the state branches of gov't (OHIO TAKE NOTE!!), garnering equal levels of support from both sides. He also beamed discussing that KY's Entire Federal Delegation to the US House and Senate support Hemp, and are co-sponsoring Hemp bills!
